Jayhawks Ranked in Charlie Creme's Preseason Top 25
April 30, 2012 LAWRENCE, Kan. – Even though the college basketball season has only been over a month, it’s never too early to start thinking about next year. ESPN bracketologist Charlie Creme already is as he released his preseason top 25 list where Kansas women’s basketball came in at No. 22. The Jayhawks advanced to their third NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in program history during the 2011-12 season and lost just one senior in Aishah Sutherland. Kansas touts one of the best inside-outside duos in the country in rising seniors Angel Goodrich and Carolyn Davis. Despite missing the final 10 games of the season with a torn ACL, Davis earned All-America Honorable Mention accolades along with Goodrich marking the first time KU has had multiple all-Americans in the same season. Kansas will return nine letterwinners in all in 2012-13 and has signed two talented newcomers in Lamaria Cole and Markisha Hawkins. To see Creme's complete top 25 list, click here.
