KU Women's Hoops Ranked No. 25 in Coaches Poll

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Head coach Bonnie Henrickson and the Kansas Jayhawks will open the 2012-13 season ranked No. 25 in the nation, according to the preseason USA Today Coaches Top-25 Poll that was released Tuesday. The Jayhawks ended the 2011-12 season ranked No. 25 in the USA Today Coaches Top-25 Poll following their NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 run after posting wins over Nebraska and Delaware. Kansas returns four starters from a squad that finished 21-13 last season, including seniors Carolyn Davis and Angel Goodrich. Both Davis and Goodrich were among the 25 NCAA Division I student-athletes named to the 2012-13 Wade Trophy Watch List. The Jayhawks topped Washburn, 57-35, this past Sunday and will be back in action Sunday, November 4, against Fort Hays State for their final exhibition game.
