LAWRENCE, Kan. - For the first time since Jan. 4, 2010, the Kansas women's basketball team is ranked in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll, as the Jayhawks earned a No. 22 ranking Monday following Sunday's 64-58 win over Wake Forest at Allen Fieldhouse.

The No. 22 ranking is the highest AP ranking for Kansas since being No. 21 on Dec. 28, 2009.

The Jayhawks are off to a 3-0 start and feature two of the top national player of the year candidates in seniors Carolyn Davis and Angel Goodrich. Both Davis and Goodrich are candidates for the Naismith Award, Wade Trophy and Wooden Award.

Kansas will be back in action Friday, when the Jayhawks play the final game of a four-game homestand against Alabama A&M at 7 p.m., inside Allen Fieldhouse.

The USA Today Coaches Top-25 has not yet been released this week.
