In her first start of the season, Blair Waltz contributed nine points to the Jayhawks 59-48 victory over Sacred Heart.

 Jamie Boyd gave the Jayhawks a solid 14 minutes off the bench.

 Aquanita Burras battled her way out of a Sacred Heart trap.
Young fans cheered the Jayhawks to their first victory of the season.

 Eric Hallman managed to get off a pass from the floor after stealing the ball in the second half.

 Aquanita Burras drove the lane for two of her 11 points.
Freshman Taylor McIntosh also scored 11 points to help pace KU.

 Coach Bonnie Henrickson cheered on her team and picked up her first victory as KU's coach.
