Mays To Transfer From Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas women’s basketball sophomore Keena Mays will transfer from KU after the conclusion of the Fall 2011 semester, head coach Bonnie Henrickson announced Friday.
“Keena expressed to me her wish to move closer to home,” said Henrickson. “She is doing what she believes is in her best interest.”
Mays appeared in 42 games for the Jayhawks. She averaged 7.9 points per game and 3.0 rebounds per outing and made 14 starts.
“Kansas has been a great experience that I will never forget,” Mays said. “Despite my memorable time here, I would like to be closer to my family and have decided to leave KU.”
