Women's Golf In 17th At Betsy Rawls

AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Kansas women's golf team is currently in 17th place at the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas, after an opening round 329. "We have to be a little more patient on the course," head coach. "I think tomorrow we will play much better and move up the leaderboard." Sophomore Amanda Costner leads the Jayhawks after carding an opening round of 79 and is in a tie for 26th. Sophomore Jill Womble is in a tie 48th place after shooting an 81. Junior Chelsey Pryor is in a tie for 76th place after an opening round of 84. Junior Meredith Winkelmann carded an 85 to place in 81st. Freshman Annie Giangrosso is in 99th after shooting a 91.
