Kansas In 11th Place At Big 12 Championships

AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Kansas women's golf team is tied for 11th place, in a 12-team field, after carding a 331 in the second round of the Big 12 Championships held at the University of Texas G.C. in Austin, Texas. "We had a rough day today," head coach Erin O'Neil said. "We are going to have to go out there and shoot well tomorrow and see what happens." Oklahoma Statestill leads the tournament with a 602, followed by Texas at 603. Junior Chelsey Pryor leads the Jayhawks with a 154 and is currently in a tie for 12th . Junior Meredith Winkelmann is tied for 43rd with a 162. Sophomore Amanda Costner has a two round total of 164 and is in a tie for 47th. Freshman Annie Giangrosso is in 58th with a 171. Sophomore Jill Womble is in 60th with with a two round total of 173. The Jayhawks will begin final round action at 8 a.m. Central time.
