Women's Golf 12th At Jeannine McHaney Invitational

Lubbock, Texas - The University of Kansas women's golf team is currently tied for 12th place, in an 18-team field, after shooting a 311 in the first round of the Jeannine McHaney Invitational in Lubbock, Texas. SMU is currently in first place with a 291, followed by Missouri who shot an opening round 295. Notre Dame rounds out the top three after an opening round of 296. Sophomore Amanda Costner shot an opening round 76 to place in a tie for 34th. Sophomore Jill Womble carded a first round score of 77 to place her in a tie for 42nd. Junior Tiffany Woods shot a first round total of 78 to tie for 52nd. Junior Chelsey Pryor carded an 80 to place her in a tie for 69th. Junior Meredith Winkelmann shot a first round score of 81 to tie for 78th. Freshman Annie Giangrosso, playing as an individual, shot an 83 in her first career tournament and is currently tied for 89th. The Jayhawks will start second round play on Saturday with shotgun tee times set to begin at 8 a.m. Team Results Place School Score
