Women's Golf In 10th At Lady Razorback Invitational

ROGERS, Ark. - The University of Kansas women's golf team is in 10th place, in a 19-team field, after shooting a 316 in the first round of the Lady Razorback Invitational at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Ark. Iowa State leads the tournament after shooting a first round 297, followed by host Arkansas with a 303. Sophomore Jill Womble leads the Jayhawks after shooting an opening round 78 to tie for 26th. Sophomore Amanda Costner and freshman Annie Giangrosso are tied for 43rd after firing first round 79's. Junior Tiffany Woods shot an opening round total of 80 to tie for 51st. Junior Chelsey Pryor carded an 83 to place in a tie for 66th. "This is a course that is very tough on a player that doesn't put the ball in the right spot," head coach Erin O'Neil said. "We didn't put the ball in the best places today and got into trouble. I think we will be fine and bounce back very well tomorrow."
