Women's Golf Finishes 9th At Lady Razorback Invitational

ROGERS, Ark. - The University of Kansas women's golf team finished in 9th place, in a 19-team field, after shooting a 312 in the final round of the Lady Razorback Invitational to post a final score of 938 at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Ark. Iowa State held on to win the tournament with a 905 total, followed by Texas A&M with a 916. Junior Chelsey Pryor lead the Jayhawks by finishing in a tie for 29th after carding a 77 in the final round for a 235 total. Sophomore Amanda Costner fired a final round 77 to finish tied for 32nd with a 236. Junior Tiffany Woods shot a final round of 82 to finish in a tie for 35th with a 237. Freshman Annie Giangrosso carded a three day total of 238 after a final round of 79 to place in a tie for 44th. Sophomore Jill Womble shot a final round 79 for a three round total of 239 and a tie for 49th. "We will look to the spring and work hard to improve between now and then," head coach Erin O'Neil said. "I have definitely seen some good things from our team. We are consistent, but I would like us to to be consistent with lower scoring." Kansas has completed its fall season and will begin the spring season on February 28-March 1 at the Texas A&M "Mo"morial Invitational.
