Kansas Women's Golf Trio Earn All-American Scholar Recognition
Aug. 5, 2012
The Kansas women's golf trio of Gabby DiMarco, Katy Nugent and Meghan Potee was recently named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar teams.
A total of 602 women's collegiate golfers from Division I, II and III were recognized for the prestigious honor. Criteria for selection to the NGCA All-American Scholar teams are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics as the minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
DiMarco, from West Chester, Pa., will be a sophomore in 2012-13 and is majoring in business finance, while junior-to-be Potee, from Noblesville, Ind., is majoring in community health. Nugent, from Wichita, Kan., was a senior last season who graduated with an accounting and finance degree.
