Kansas Women's Golf Concludes First Fall Event
Sept. 18, 2012 BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Behind a pair of 4-over par 76s by juniors Thanuttra Boonraksasat and Meghan Potee, the Kansas women’s golf team concluded the Dale McNamara Invitational at the Golf Club of Oklahoma Tuesday. As a team, Kansas finished 11th out of 15 squads with a three-round total 910 (+46), which included a 312 (+24) on the final day. The Jayhawks just missed a top-10 finish by one stroke, entering the day in eighth place after shooting rounds of 295 (+7) and 303 (+15) on Monday. “Today didn’t go the way we wanted. We didn’t finish as well as we could have,” Kansas head coach Erin O’Neil said. “We just weren’t on the same level as yesterday. Yesterday we had a ton of birdies which helped us. But today our 4-5 players finished with double-bogies so we didn’t quite finish it.” Golf Club of Oklahoma - Broken Arrow, Okla. Team Results (Par 288, three-round team par 864) 1.
