Sarah Trew Named Assistant Coach of Kansas Women's Golf Team
Sept. 26, 2006 LAWRENCE, Kan. -
Trew began her collegiate golfing experience at the University of Georgia. The Acworth, Ga., native, stayed at Georgia for two years, lettering in one and redshirting the other. She then transferred to the University of Arkansas to continue her golfing endeavors. She was a three-time letterwinner at Arkansas, named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll each year and ended her career with the eighth lowest career stroke average in Arkansas' women's golf program history. "We are very excited to have Sarah on our staff," head coach Erin O'Neil said. "She brings a lot of experience from her own collegiate career that will help us. Sarah is a very good fit." This is the first coaching job for Trew, who graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Arkansas in May 2006.
