Nebraska leads 12-team field after round one of the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Women's Golf Invitational at Lawrence Monday afternoon. The Husker shot a 303 in the morning, three shots ahead of Kansas State, Wichita State and Arkansas-Little Rock. Host Kansas is tied for fifth with Oral Robers at 313.
UMKC's Taylor Fisher and Nebraska's Maddie Sheils are tied for first individually at 72. Grace Thiry posted KU's best score, a 73, and is one shot off the pace.
The teams will play the second round Monday afternoon with the final round slated for Tuesday morning.
