Kansas Women's Golf to Compete in Johnie Imes Invitational

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women’s golf will continue its fall season with a tournament for the second-straight week when it competes in the Johnie Imes Invitational Oct. 3-4 at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo. An 8 a.m. shotgun start will kick off the tournament both days, with 36 holes played Monday and the remaining 18 played Tuesday. Sophomores Thanuttra Boonraksasat and Meghan Potee, along with freshmen Gabriella DiMarco, Nadia Luttner and Michelle Woods will represent the Jayhawks at the tournament hosted by Missouri. Audrey Yowell will compete as an individual after finishing tied for 38th in her first tournament of the season at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational. The Jayhawks are coming off a fifth place finish at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational led by Boonraksasat who finished tied for fourth. Boonraksasat is averaging 75.6 strokes per round through the first two tournaments of the season. Joining Kansas at the Johnie Imes Invitational are Big 12 foes Kansas State and Missouri. Non-conference competition includes Arkansas-Little Rock, Bradley, Colorado State, Illinois State, Florida International, Missouri State, Morehead State, Princeton, SMU, Texas State, UMKC and Wichita State.
