Jayhawks Head South for McHaney/Morehead Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - Kansas women's golf heads to Lubbock, Texas, next week to compete in the McHaney/Morehead Invitational, Oct. 5-6. The 13-team field, which includes seven Big 12 schools, will tee-off Monday at the par 72, 6,525 yard Rawls Course. In their three events this season, the Jayhawks have fifth-place finishes at the Marilynn Smith Invitational and Johnie Imes Invitational to go along with a seventh-place finish at the Chip-N-Club Invitational. Junior Emily Powers leads the team with a 74.67 scoring average on the season. Rounds one and two will be played Monday, with teams teeing off at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday's final round is also set for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
