Kansas Rowing to Begin Spring Training on Saturday

LAWRENCE, Kan.—Kansas rowing will begin spring training on Saturday, March 14, in Lawrence. Both the novice and varsity teams will be practicing over spring break. Kansas will practice in the mornings, break for a team lunch, have team meetings and film sessions in the early afternoon and practice again before a team dinner in the evening. The spring practices will end on Saturday, March 21.
The Jayhawks open the 2009 season on March 28 in Oklahoma City against Oklahoma. The regatta will mark the first head-to-head meeting between the two schools as Oklahoma is in its first year of competition.
