KU's Novice 8 led off the competition Saturday against Tulsa and Drake.

The Jayhawks' victorious 2nd Varsity 4 began to pull away from the competition.

Coxswain LeAnna Kemp drove the 1st Varsity 4 to victory.

KU's 2nd Varsity 8 left Tulsa and Drake in their wake on the Kansas River.

KU's 1st Varsity 8 powered their way to a dominating victory in the day's showcase event.

Joining the fans that lined the river were relatives of Erin Hennessey that traveled from Washington, Idaho and Wyoming to cheer on their favorite senior.

The 1st Varsity 8 cruised down the Kaw.

Coach Rob Cathloth congratulated the winning 1st Varsity 8.

Rowing seniors and their parents were recognized in a post-race ceremony.
