Kansas Rowing Travels to Tennessee for SIRA's

LAWRENCE, Kan.--Kansas Rowing will continue the spring season on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Regatta in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The competition will be the first non-duel regatta of the spring season for the Jayhawks and the first multiple school race since last November.
The Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Regatta is conducted over the same course, Melton Hill Lake, as the South-Central Regionals. Kansas will compete at the South-Central Regionals May 15-16.
Kansas faces tough competition with both the top ranked Varsity Eight boat from Grand Valley State and the second ranked Purdue Varsity Eight boat competing at the races.
Kansas' first face of the day, the Novice Four is tentatively scheduled for 8:05 a.m. A preliminary schedule can be found at http://www.siraregatta.com/.
