LAWRENCE, Kan. -

The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with Kansas
Athletics to offer a rowing clinic for the community on Saturday, Sept. 17. The clinic is designed as an introduction to rowing and is geared toward people with minimal background in the sport.

The clinic is designed to showcase rowing as one of the best aerobic, total-body exercises.  It not only burns calories and develops cardiovascular health, but also tones all major muscle groups, including legs, arms, back and abdominals.

The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to noon on Sept. 17. Cost is $30 per person and includes a t-shirt.  The clinic will be held at the University of Kansas Boathouse located at Burcham Park, 220 Indiana Street.
