KU and Lawrence Parks and Rec Partner for Rowing Clinic
Sept. 14, 2012 LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas Athletics and the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department have teamed up to offer a community rowing clinic. The clinic will take place on Sat., Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at the KU Boathouse, located at 220 Indiana St. The clinic is designed as an introduction to rowing and is geared toward participants with a minimal background in the sport. Instructors for the clinic will be KU rowing coaches and members of the KU women's rowing team. Pre-registration is required and participants must be age 14 or older. Those interested can sign-up at www.lprd.com. There is a $30 registration fee which includes a t-shirt.
