Kansas Rowing to Compete at Head of the Hooch

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- The Kansas rowing team will travel to Chattanooga, Tenn., on Saturday for a two-day competition at the Head of the Hooch. On Saturday, the Jayhawks will enter six boats in the Championship Double race, one boat in the Championship Four race and two boats in the Championship Eight race. The Jayhawks will also enter 12 boats in the Championship Single race and two boats in the Open Eight race on Sunday. Kansas last competed at the Head of the Iowa where junior Tiffany Jeffers placed third in a time of 18:23.43 in the Open Single. Following close behind was junior LlynnAnn Laugesen in a fourth-place time of 18:26.54, and Alexis Boston in fifth with a time of 18:41.65. Kansas was also successful in the Open Four race as it placed second with a time of 15:49.40.
