KU To Face Nebraska in First Round of Big 12 Championship

After finishing the regular season in a four team tie for second place, the University of Kansas soccer team earned the No. 5 seed in the 2005 Big 12 Soccer Championship. The Jayhawks will face the No. 4 seed Nebraska Cornhuskers at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
Texas A&M finished conference play with a 7-2-1 record and 22 points to earn the top seed. KU, Colorado, Iowa State and Nebraska tied for second place with 19 points. Based on the Big 12 tiebreaker procedure, Colorado was awarded the No. 2 seed, Iowa State the No. 3 seed, Nebraska the No. 4 seed and Kansas the No. 5 seed.
KU and NU played to a 0-0 tie earlier this season in Lincoln, Neb. The winner will advance to face either Texas A&M or Missouri on Friday, Nov. 4 at 4:30 p.m. That match can be seen on Fox Sports Net.
Tickets for the Big 12 Soccer Championship are available through Ticketmaster statewide in Texas and will also be on sale at the Blossom Soccer Stadium box office on game days.
