Four-year letterwinner in softball where she helped McLouth HS to conference championship all four years... Placed third at state in 2008... Regional champs in 2008 and 2006... A 2008 NFCA All-American Third Team... Lawrence Journal World Player of the Year in 2008... Four-time all-state first team selection and three-time NFCA all-south central region team member... Named to Rivals.com all-state team three times... Holds Kansas state records for career hits (164), career doubles (66), career batting average (.743), single season batting average (.810) and single season doubles (27)... Third female in McLouth HS history to have her number retired following her high school career... A National Honor Society member and recipient of the Dale M. Dennis Excellence in Education Award.

Born Kendall Ann Patterson in Winchester, Kan.... Daughter of Ballard and Lorie Patterson... Mother and aunt both attended KU.... Her grandfather's cousin, Johnny Lawson, ran track at KU... Will wear the number seven to honor former KU softball standout Jessica Moppin, who also wore number seven, and John Moppin, her club coach, for all they have contributed to her softball career... Plans to major in elementary education.
