Pink in the Park, Alumni Day Set for April 21 at Arrocha Ballpark

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Fans can show their support in the fight against breast cancer when the Kansas softball team hosts its annual Jayhawks for a Cure event at Arrocha Ballpark on Saturday, April 21. Fans wearing pink to the Jayhawks' game against Iowa State on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. will be admitted for $3 and all in attendance will receive a pink Jayhawks for a Cure bracelet. All donations given at Jayhawks for a Cure event go to Lawrence Memorial Hospital and KU Cancer Center. In addition, the Kansas softball program will also welcome back former players for its Alumni Day on Saturday. An afternoon planned with activities has been set up to welcome back past players, beginning with a BBQ at the ballpark at 12:45 p.m. All attendees are invited to stay and watch the Jayhawks take on the Cyclones. Following the game, the former and current Jayhawks will partake in a meet and greet to wrap up the day. Softball alumni wishing to attend should RSVP to assistant coach D.J.
