The Texas series featured large crowds and tight, hard-fought games.

In the first inning Stevie Crisosto was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to give KU the only run they would need.

Nicole Washburn was congratulated after scoring from third on the Crisosto play.

Serena Settlemier dominated the Texas batters for five innings, giving up only one hit.

Assistant Jen Sewell and Coach Tracy Bunge conferred before bringing in Kassie Humphreys for the final two innings.

The crowd hung on every pitch.

Destiny Frankenstein tagged out a Texas runner trying to steal.

Catcher Tiffany Craner was congratulated for her strong throw to second.

Kassie Humphreys worked her way out of trouble in the seventh inning.

Humphreys let out a shout of joy after she struck out the final batter with the bases loaded.

A joyous Humphreys was mobbed by her happy teammates.
