2007-08 (Junior): As a junior, competed in the mile at the 2008 Big 12 Championships in Austin, Texas... Swam the 200, 500, 1000 and 1650-yard freestyle events for the Jayhawks... Recorded a season-best time in the 500-yard free against Arkansas, finishing in 5:08.55... Landed third on the Kansas top-five list in the 1000-yard freestyle for a season-best performance at the Nike Cup-Kenyon Invite (10:27.49)... Additionally recorded the third-fastest time on the team in the mile at the Nike Cup, finishing in 17:27.27... Earned Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors for her work in the classroom during the 2007-08 season.
2006-07 (Sophomore): A key distance freestyle competitor for the Jayhawks... Landed a fifth-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:54.26) at the Terrapin Cup Invitational in College Park, Md., giving her the third-fastest KU time in the event for the 2006-07 season... Placed 12th in the 500 freestyle (4:58.02) at the Terrapin Cup Invite, placing her fifth on the KU 2006-07 season best-time list in the event... Finished first in both the 1650 Freestyle (17:09.22) and 500 freestyle (5:01.05) at the Nike Cup, setting Kenyon Athletic Center Natatorium pool records in both events... Competed in the 1650-freestyle at the Big 12 Conference Championships (17:08.30), as well as the 500-yard freestyle (5:04.63) and 400-yard IM, finishing with a prelims time of 4:34.92... Named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team for her performance in the classroom. 2005-06 (Freshman): Finished 10th in the 1650 free at the Big 12 Championships with a time of 16:54.66... Earned a personal best time in the 500 free at the Minnesota Invite... Member of the 800 free relay team that finished fifth at the Big 12 Championships... Named a Jayhawk Scholar... An Academic All-America honorable mention. High School (Blue Springs): Named a high school All-American... Eight-time individual state swimming champion... Member of the 2005 State Championship Team... 11-time All-American... Only person in Missouri high school state history to win the same freestyle event four years in a row... Anchored the state record-breaking 200 and 400 free relays... Named to the Principal's Honor Roll all four years of high school. Personal: Parents are Vance and Jill Brammer...
