2012-13 (Senior)
Academic All-Big 12 First Team... Athletic Director's and Big 12 Commisioner's Honor Roll, 4.0 GPA (Fall 2012)... Closed out the season at the Big 12 Championships (2/27-3/2) by setting season-best times and finishing 17th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.65), 18th in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:24.20) and 29th in the 200-yard IM (2:10.73).

2011-12 (Junior)
Excels in the breaststroke... Set two career-best times at the Big 12 Championships (2/22-25), placing 24th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.39) and fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.57).

2010-11 (Sophomore)
One of the most improved swimmers of the season... Had her best meet of the year at the 2011 Big 12 Championships where she swam three career best times in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:07.55, 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:23.58 and 200 IM with a 2:12.10 time... Finished fifth in 100 yard breast stroke (1:10.33), in double dual versus South Dakota and Northern Iowa... Powers ranked in the team's top five times of 2010-11 season in the 100 and 200 breast stroke.

2009-10 (Freshman)
Recorded a career-best time in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:25.00) in the preliminary round of the Big 12 Championships... Took sixth in the 200 breaststroke (2:31.38) against Missouri... Helped the Jayhawks earn five points in three relays at the Big 12 Relays... Named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll for Spring 2010.

High School (Olathe South)
Was a four-time letterwinner for swimming and lettered twice for cross country... Holds the school record for the 100 breaststroke... High School State Meet Finalist all 4 years... Swimming team captain for two years... Won numerous academic awards, including President's Education Award for Academic Excellence... Was on the USA Swimming Scholastic All-America Team, the Missouri Valley Swimming All-Academic Team, and the NISCA All America Academic Team...

Born in Omaha, Neb... Parents are Dave and Jeanne Powers... A psychologymajor with a minor in leadership studies... Plans on attending graduate school after graduation.
