2010-11 (Freshman): Made an immediate impact for the Jayhawks in the sprint freestyle and backstroke events... At the 2011 Big 12 Championships she swam three season best times in the 100 backstroke (57.19), the 50 freestyle (23.74) and the 100 freestyle (52.16)... Anchored KU's first place finish of the 200 freestyle relay against Arkansas... Swam her fastest time of the season in the 200 backstroke during the Georgia Invitational (2:08.93)... Led KU to a second place finish in the 200 freestyle relay against Missouri. High School (Pulaski Academy): A four-year letterwinner in swimming... Holds the school records in the 50-yard, 100-yard and 200-yard freestyles, 100-yard butterfly, 100-yard backstroke, and 200-yard freestyle and IM relays... A three-time all-state swimmer... 2008-09 High School Swimmer of the Year... Named a USA Academic All-American... A member of National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. Personal: Born in Wichita, Kan.... Parents are Steve and Kim Cox... Father swam at Missouri State University and was an Olympic Trials Qualifier... Majoring in journalism...
