2008-09 (Senior): Served as team captain for second straight season... Finished senior campaign with a total of 26-first place finishes... Scored eight points at Big 12 Championships with pair of 13th place finishes, one in the 200 Breast (2:19.10) and another in the 100 Breast (1:04.55)... Claimed first place honors in three events during her final home meet at Robinson Natatorium. Those fastest times came against Iowa State in the 150 Breast (1:41.81), the 50 Breast (29.46) and the 100 IM (57.39)... Saw another trio of first place finishes a week earlier in double-dual against South Dakota and Northern Iowa, as she was the fastest in the 100 Breast (1:05.04), the 200 Back (2:06.12) and the 200 IM (2:05.71)... Claimed second in 100 Breast (1:03.79) and third during 200 Breast (2:19.30) at Arkansas... Struck gold three-times in meet at Nebraska, where she finished first in the 200 Breast (2:18.63), first in the 100 Breast (1:03.20) and first in the 200 IM (2:05.24)... Earned first place honors in two events at Miami during the 200 IM (2:03.70) and 100 Breast (1:03.82)... Was fastest in the 200 Free vs Florida International with 1:51.31 time... Recorded gold in two events at Kenyon Open in Ohio during the 200 IM (2:05.16) and 100 Breast (1:02.67), while bringing home silver in the 200 Breast (2:18.53)... Was fastest swimmer in two events at Nebraska-Omaha during 50 Breast (29.99) and 100 Breast (1:05.18)... First in 500 Free (5:00.41) vs Evansville... Also first in 200 Free a day earlier vs Drury with 1:51.01 time... Came up clutch with three first place finishes in 200 IM (2:04.41), 200 Breast (2:18.76) and 100 Breast (1:02.93) vs border rival Missouri... Tallied pair of golds against Texas A&M, one in the 200 IM (2:03.83) and another during the 200 Breast (2:19.95)... Was fastest in the 100m Breast (1:12.03) and the 200m Breast (2:38.29) at Northern Arizona... Started season with a first place performance in the 100 Breast (1:03.55) and a second place finish in the 200 IM (2:03.78) at Arizona State... Also finished in third during the 200 Breast (2:20.00) vs the Sun Devils... Named to Academic All-Big 12 First team for Fall 2008 semester.
2007-08 (Junior): A team captain for the Jayhawks her junior year... KU's leading breaststroke and IM swimmer... A two-year NCAA qualifier... Shattered a total of 11 records her junior campaign, including three individual Kansas records, two Kansas relay records, two Robinson Natatorium records and four records in opponents' pools... Finished second at the 2008 Big 12 Championship meet in the 100 (1:02.13) and 200-yard (2:15.30) breaststroke events, both Kansas all-time records... Placed third at Big 12s in the 200-yard IM (2:00.21), an NCAA automatic qualifying mark and KU all-time record... Was a member of the 200 and 400-yard medley relays that both finished second at the Big 12 meet and broke Kansas records... Shattered pool records in Kansas' Robinson Natatorium in the 100 and 200-yard breast events in KU's meet against Nebraska... Broke the 200-yard IM record at Drury's Breech Pool... Shattered three records at the Nike Cup-Kenyon Invite in the 100 breast and as a member of the winning 200 and 400-yard medley relays... Finished 22nd in the 100 breast at the 2008 NCAA Championship meet, resetting her Kansas record with a time of 1:02.01... Also placed 34th in the 200 IM and 39th in the 200 breast at NCAAs... Named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team for her work in the classroom during the 2007-08 season... Recipient of the Tammy Thomas MVP team award.
2006-07 (Sophomore): Kansas' top breaststroke and IM competitor of the season... One of three Jayhawks to qualify and represent Kansas at the 2007 NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. ... Placed 25th in the 100-yard breast, 32nd in the 200-yard breaststroke and 57th in the 200-yard IM at NCAAs... Broke four Kansas records on the season... Broke her own Kansas 100-yard breaststroke record at the Big 12 Championships with her fifth-place finish (1:02.40), landing her first on the Kansas all-time list in the event... Shattered the all-time Kansas 200-yard IM record with a sixth-place finish in the event at Big 12s (2:01.51), breaking the 15-year old record of 2:02.42... Was a member of both the 200 and 400-yard medley relays that each placed third at Big 12s, breaking two-year-old Kansas records in each of the events and placing the relays first on the KU all-time list... Her fifth-place 200-yard breaststroke finish at the Big 12s (2:16.35) placed her second on the KU all-time list in the event and was the top time of the 2006-07 season... Broke Kenyon Athletic Center Natatorium records in the 100-yard breast (1:04.80) and the 400-yard IM (4:27.05; first on the Kansas 2006-07 top-five list) with first-place finishes in each at the Nike Cup... Named Academic All-Big 12 First Team.
2005-06 (Freshman): Set a school record in the 100 breast (1:03.10) and 400 medley relay... Recorded NCAA "B" times in the 100 and 200 breast... At the Big 12 Championships, finished fourth in the 100 breast and sixth in the 200 breast... Won the 100 breast in a double-dual against Harvard and Northeastern... Finished second in the 100 breast and third in the 200 breast at the Minnesota Invite.
High School (Lake Park): Named team MVP during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons... All-state team member for four years... Finished 10th at state championships in the 100 breast during her freshman season and placed 11th in the 200 IM and 10th in the 100 back during her sophomore season... Earned a fourth- place finish in the 100 breast and a fifth-place finish in the 200 IM at state championships during her junior year... Placed third in the 100 breast and fifth in the 200 IM during her senior season at the state championships... Illinois State Scholar... Won the Prairie Star State Achievement Award... Named to the high school honor roll.
Personal: Parents are Jim and Kathy Herrmann... A pre-pharmacy and an exercise science major.
