Kansas Improves In Pool, But Loses at Minnesota 206-87

Previous College (Fort Pierce State): Swam to first place finish in 100-yard freestyle (50.27), at junior college national championships in March, 2011... Named `2010 NJCAA Swimmer of the Year', while swimming for head coach Ryan Mallam... Achieved IRSC's Highest Academic Status for Athletes.

Coach Campbell on Hanbury: "Vanessa is going to come in and be a big boost for us... she is going to make a lot of noise, not just in the Big 12, but at the NCAA's as well."


Personal: Born in Vancouver, British Columbia... Parents are Blake and Nelli... Hopes to compete in the Olympics and become a high school principal after her swimming career is through.
