IOWA CITY, Iowa – Kansas junior diver Christy Cash finished in 28th place during three meter competition Friday, at the NCAA Zone ‘D’ Diving Championships, with her 241.15 score. Last year she finished in 33rd place with a 224.40 score at Zones in Austin, Texas, meaning she earned 16 more points and placed five spots higher in the event this time around.

Sophomore Alyssa Golden finished three meter competition on day two in 38th place.

Saturday will be the third and final day of competition at the Zone ‘D’ Diving Championships as the pair of Jayhawk divers will compete in platform. Preliminaries get underway at 11 a.m. at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center in Iowa City, with finals beginning in the early evening.
