KU Swimmer Brull to Discuss Olympic Trials Experience on Metro Sports
July 3, 2012 KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Rising Kansas senior Brooke Brull will make a special appearance Tuesday night on the Metro Sports Channel's `Sports Zone' to talk about her recent trip to the 2012 US Swimming Olympic Trials. Brull, a Lake Quivira, Kan. native and a Shawnee Mission Northwest graduate swam in two events during the week long Trials which took place at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb. The newly named team captain finished the 200 IM last Wednesday with a time of 2:21.25, which was her second fastest swim in the event. She then competed in the 200 back on Saturday, where she touched the wall at 2:19.34. Brull will be interviewed via phone by Metro Sports personality Dave Stewart during the channel's `Sports Zone' show. The program starts at 10 p.m. tonight and will be re-aired starting at 10:30. The interview segment will also run during `Varsity KC' at 6 p.m., next Wednesday, July 11th. Metro Sports is a cable station owned and operated by Time Warner Cable.
