Scholar All-America Team list

LAWRENCE, Kan. - The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released its Scholar All-America Team list for the spring 2012 semester and the University Kansas can be found among the 130-plus schools on the list. The Jayhawks' 3.26 grade point average this past semester put them less than a point behind leaders Clemson and Alabama (3.62), and tied them with American, Missouri State, Akron and Nebraska who each posted a 3.26 mark.

Head Coach Clark Campbell's squad finished the spring term with the second highest GPA in the Big 12 Conference, second to only Iowa State who studied its way to a 3.36 grade point average. Kansas did much of its hard work in a semester that saw KU compete in three dual meets as well as the Big 12 Championships, where they earned 42 -points and finished in fourth place.

KU swimmers and divers' 3.26 GPA is more than 0.2 points higher than their 3.02 cumulative mark following the fall 2011 semester and still tops the 3.15 GPA they earned during spring 2011. It is their best team grade point average since the 3.33 they tallied back in spring 2010. Below is a look at the swimming and diving team's total GPA's through the last five semesters.
