KU Swimmers Complete Fourth Day of 2010 Nationals

IRVINE, Calif. -
Kansas swimmers Stephanie Payne, Brooke Brull and Abigail Anderson completed the fourth day of the 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships in Irvine, Calif. Payne, a junior from Derby, Kan., recorded a 74th-place finish for the Wichita Swim Club in the 200-meter butterfly with a time of 2:19.61. Brull, a sophomore from Lake Quivira, Kan., took 74th in the 200-meter backstroke with a time of 2:20.26, while Anderson, a junior from Hendersonville, Tenn., placed 108th (2:20.80). Both swimmers competed for Kansas Aquatics. “Abi's and Brooke's 200 backs were both significant times drops for new best times,” Kansas head coach Clark Campbell said. “We're really looking forward to finishing the Championships tomorrow with a strong 400 medley relay.” Please check with www.kuathletics.com tomorrow for results from the fifth and final day of the National Championships.
