Fall 2012 (Junior):Made one competitive appearance for the Jayhawks in the season-opening KU Invitational, finishing 2-1 in the Singles I Draw... Notched wins over Abilene Christian's Madelyn Walker, 6-1, 6-0, and South Dakota's Camille Kraijic, 6-2, 6-2. Spring 2012 (Sophomore): Participated in the season-opening Hawaii Invitational. Fall 2011 (Sophomore): Set a career record, garnering six wins during the fall season and earning a 6-3 record... Competed in flight finals in both the Kentucky Invitational and the second KU Invitational... Won the consolation side of Draw G in the first KU Invitational, taking down UMKC's Gabriela Pintos, 8-2... Went 5-5 in doubles competition with partner Victoria Khanevskaya... Recorded two victories a piece with Khanevskaya during each KU Invitational, including an 8-1 victory over competitors from Big 12 opponent Iowa State... Named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete for the 2010-11 season. Fall 2010 (Freshman): Played in just one event during the fall slate, going 0-1 in singles play and 1-1 in doubles with partner Teagan Seeley... Narrowly edged by Suzan Lisenby of UMKC in the first KU Invitational in her only singles match of the season... Defeated a team from South Dakota, 8-6, with Seeley, before falling 8-1 to a team from Saint Louis in the KU Invitational in doubles action. High School: A 2010 graduate of Notre Dame de Sion in Kansas City, Mo... An eight-time letter-winner earning four each in tennis and basketball... Prep coach was Bill Munninghoff... Helped lead the Storm to back-to-back Class 1 Missouri State Championships in 2008 and 2009, a third-place finish in 2007 and a runner-up finish in 2010... Team also won the 2007 sectional championship... Won two straight district singles championships and finished second in the state as a junior and senior... Placed in the singles category in the Missouri State Championships in all four years of high school, finishing seventh, second, fifth and third, respectively... Also helped the varsity basketball team to a runner-up state championship finish in 2008... A decorated student who graduated with a 4.2 GPA and was named a Kansas City Star Scholar Athlete all four years of her prep career... Comes from a long line of former Jayhawks, as parents, both older sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of the family all attended the University of Kansas... Father and cousin, Kristi Barnthouse, both played tennis for Kansas, while her uncle, Cris Barnthouse, was an Academic All-American basketball player in the 1970s... Cousin Nicholas Barnthouse is a former member of the University Scholars Program and was KU's 2007 nominee for both the Rhodes and Marshall Scholarships...
