Fall 2012 (Junior): Competed in two fall tournaments before being sidelined by injury... Finished with a 3-2 singles record, taking third in the Kristine Kurth singles flight at the Tribe Invitational in Williamsburg, Va... Went 5-1 in doubles with partner Maria Jose Cardona... With Cardona, won Doubles Draw B at the first KU Invitational, defeating teammates Claire Dreyer and Anastasija Trubica in the final. 2011-12 (Sophomore): Didnot compete due to transfer rules. 2010-11 (Freshman): Transferred from Texas Tech where she played one season under head coach Todd Petty... Finished 19-11 overall in singles, including 6-4 in conference play... Went 20-6 in overall doubles, with an 8-3 conference record at No. 3 doubles. High School: Graduated from Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, Kan.... Coached by Ann Heidebrecht... A high school All-American selection in 2009 and 2010... Named to the all-state tennis teams from 2006-09... Class 6A state singles champion and a 28-2 record as captain in her senior season... Captured the 6A state titles in doubles in 2006 and 2007 before finishing third in singles her junior season... Completed her high school career with seven state championships in both soccer and tennis (team and individual). Personal: Born in Leawood, Kan.... Parents are James and Alison Fournier... Has two sisters (Taylor and Shae) and one brother (Carson)... Sister, Taylor, plays tennis at the University of Michigan... Plans to pursue a career in special education. |
