Boomer Saia

Vincent "Boomer" Saia is currently in his third year as a volunteer assistant coach for the Jayhawks. Saia comes to KU after attending Cowley College in his hometown of Arkansas City, Kan. Saia earned two letters for the Tigers, playing from 2007-2009. His strongest season came in 2009 when he reached the semifinals of the NJCAA National Tournament in doubles and was named a junior college Academic All-American. Saia also had a standout prep career at Arkansas City High School, where he was a two-time Sunflower State doubles champion. Currently, Saia is a senior in KU's sports management program. |
