Spring 2008 (Freshman): Was moved into the No. 1 singles position after just two dual matches and held the spot for the remainder of the season... Went 8-12 in singles play, including four victories in her first five matches... Played a team-high six ranked singles opponents in dual play... Snapped a streak of five-consecutive losses with a victory over Iowa State's Kara Hickey in KU's last regular-season dual... Competed at No. 3 doubles with Yuliana Svistun, going 5-2, including 4-2 in league contests... The pair won its last three decisions of the season... Also played No. 3 doubles with Maria Martinez for much of the year, going 3-4... One of just 12 student-athletes to be named to the All-Big 12 singles team. High School: Won the Championship of Poland in singles and doubles in 2007... Also won the Championship of Poland singles in 2005... Coached by Tomas Romanowski. |
