No. 13 Texas Blanks KU, 7-0
March 30, 2012
AUSTIN, Texas--Junior Monica Pezzotti and sophomore Dylan Windom claimed the University of Kansas women's tennis team's lone win on the day as the Jayhawks fell 7-0 to the No. 13 Texas Longhorns Friday.
KU dropped to 9-8 on the season and 0-5 in Big 12 play while the Longhorns improved to 10-5 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
The No. 1 doubles tandem of Pezzotti and Windom snapped a three-match losing streak by defeating the 34th-ranked duo of Lina Padegimaite and Noel Scott, 8-2. The Jayhawks could not capture the doubles point, though, as KU fell at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
Kansas will look to get a win Saturday when the Jayhawks take on No. 16 Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
