Iowa State Downs Kansas, 6-1

AMES, Iowa--Kansas tennis won the doubles point, but could not grab a singles point as the Jayhawks fell to the Iowa State Cyclones, 6-1, Sunday afternoon at the Ames Racquet and Fitness Center.
KU dropped to 9-11 overall this season and 0-8 in the Big 12 Conference while the Cyclones improved to 4-16 overall and 1-6 in league play.
For the second-straight match, Kansas dominated doubles play. At the top spot, junior Monica Pezzotti and sophomore Dylan Windom defeated ISU's Maria Maceda and Tessa Lang, 8-5. Sophomore Claire Dreyer and junior Victoria Khanevskaya also notched an 8-6 victory over Jenna Langhorst and Ksenia Pronina at the No. 3 position.
The Jayhawks will conclude the Big 12 dual season Saturday, April 21 as they travel to Manhattan, Kan., to take on in-state rival Kansas State. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
