Tennis Concludes Eck Classic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The University of Kansas tennis team concluded the Eck Classic Invitational Sunday in South Bend, Ind. The team was unable to earn a win over Notre Dame as the team registered a 0-5 record in singles competition, and a 0-3 record in doubles. In the closest match of the day, Junior Luiza Loureiro was edged by Notre Dame's Sarah Jane Connelly, 3-6, 6-3, 0-1 (10-4).
The doubles team of junior Christine Skoda and freshman Lauren Hommell, Kansas' lone doubles winner this weekend, was unable to get past the team of Brook Buck and Lauren Connelly as they lost, 8-4.
Kansas is back in action next weekend at the ITA Regionals in Tulsa, Okla., Oct. 20-24.
