Skoda and Hommell Eliminated From ITA Regional

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Kansas doubles team consisting of junior Christine Skoda and Lauren Hommell, was eliminated from the Wilson/ITA Regional tennis tournament on Friday, in Tulsa, Okla., at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Skoda and Hommell were defeated by the number four seed, Kendra Strandemo and Jessica Vanderdys from Colorado, 8-1, in the second round of doubles competition. In consolation singles action, Hommell lost a hard-fought tie-breaker to Ana Renda, from the University of Saint Louis, 7-5, 4-6, 10-7. Skoda was dropped by Nebraska's Ewelina Skaza, 6-4, 6-2.
