Morozova Falls in Quarterfinals of ITA Regionals

TULSA, Okla. - Senior Ekaterina Morozova fell in the Main Singles Draw quarterfinals in the 2011 USTA/ITA Central Region Tennis Championships Sunday in Tulsa, Okla. This defeat eliminated Morozova from the tournament. Morozova fell to No. 6 seeded Madeleine Geibert of Nebraska, 6-4, 6-4. The senior from Togliatte, Russia, had defeated Arkansas’ Claudine Paulson, 6-2, 6-3, to reach the quarterfinals. Kansas Tennis will be back in action in January when the team travels to Honolulu, Hawaii, for the Hawaii Invitational.
