Kansas Tennis Kicks Off Spring at Clemson Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Kansas women’s tennis team begins its spring season Friday with the Clemson Winter Indoor Classic, which runs Friday-Sunday in Clemson, S.C. Other competing teams include Clemson, LSU, Charleston Southern and Tulane. The Jayhawks begin Friday with singles play against Tulane followed by doubles matches against opponents from LSU at 4 p.m. Play is scheduled to end on Sunday. Kansas is looking to carry over its individual success from the fall season, which featured three players who won at least one match at the ITA Regional Championships in Tulsa, Okla., in October. The Jayhawks follow up the Clemson Winter Indoor Classic with their first dual match against Denver, which is set for 3 p.m. at Jayhawk Tennis Center. Kansas finished 9-13 in dual play for 2012.
