Three Kansas Tennis Players Named to Academic All-Big 12 First Team
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Senior Kunigunda Dorn and sophomores Erin Wilbert and Alessandra Dzuba were named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team on Tuesday.
Dorn, a Sopron, Hungary native, is on the All-Academic team for the third consecutive year. The strategic communications major plays at the No. 4 spot in singles and the No. 2 spot in doubles for the Jayhawks.
Wilbert and Dzuba received the honor for the first time. Wilbert, a broadcast journalism major, plays at the No. 1 doubles spot and the No. 5 singles spot. Dzuba, a painting major, competes at No. 3 doubles.
The Jayhawks have completed their regular season and travel to Austin, Texas for the Big 12 Championships on Thursday, April 29. No. 12 seed KU faces the tournament’s No. 5 seed, Oklahoma, at 10 a.m.
