Pezzotti, Windom ranked 25th in Preseason ITA Doubles Rankings
LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas' women's tennis doubles tandem of senior Monica Pezzotti and junior Dylan Windom will open the 2012 fall season ranked 25th nationally in the Campbell/ITA Preseason Rankings, administered by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Pezzotti and Windom went 5-7 in No. 1 doubles play last season after teaming-up at the start of conference play in March. Pezzotti had previously played doubles with junior Paulina Los, while Windom was paired with sophomore Maria Belen Ludueña and then-senior Ekaterina Morozova at different times last season. Windom and Morozova were ranked as high as No. 29 nationally last season after a memorable quarterfinal run in the 2011 ITA/Riviera Women's All-American Championships. Pezzotti and Los were also ranked at one point during the 2011-12 season, grabbing the No. 42 spot in the Jan. 4 rankings. The Jayhawks open the fall season on Sept. 21, with the three-day Kansas Invitational at the Jayhawk Tennis Center in Lawrence.
