Established herself as a starter in place of injured teammate Jana Correa, getting the starting nod 19 times and appearing in all 33 of KU's matches ... 2002: sophomore season
Named First-Team Academic All-Big 12 ... Averaged 2.18 kills per game ... Was fourth on the team in kills (157) ... Had a season-best five blocks (2 solo) vs. Missouri (Nov. 23) ... Collected a season-high three service aces at Iowa State (Nov. 30) ... Led the Jayhawks in kills on two occasions ... Also recorded 68 digs, 24 blocks and 12 service aces.
2001: freshman season
Made great strides as the season progressed ... Saw action in 19 matches ... Made her first career start against No. 2 Nebraska (Nov. 10) ... Led the team with a season-high 13 kills at Iowa State (Nov. 7) ... Collected a season-best eight digs against North Carolina (Oct. 12).
A 2001 graduate of Blue Valley Northwest High School ... Lettered in volleyball, soccer and basketball for the Huskies ... Was named the All-Metro Volleyball Player of the Year by the Kansas City Star in 2000 while leading the team to the 6A state championship ... Holds school career records for kills (899) and attacks (2,169) ... Also named first team All-6A State Tournament, first team All-East Kansas League and first team All-Sun Country ... Also an outstanding student, she was a Kansas State Honors Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society.
