Kansas Volleyball To Report To Campus Friday

LAWRENCE, Kan. - University of Kansas volleyball players will report to campus Friday as the 2008 season officially gets underway.
The team’s 15 players will go through meetings Friday afternoon concluded by a team dinner that evening. Saturday, Kansas will take to the court in its first practice of the 2008 season. Head coach Ray Bechard and his team will hold two-a-day practices for the next two weeks until classes begin.
Kansas, who returns 11 letterwinners, including six starters, on a team that finished 13-17 overall last year, opens its schedule on Aug. 29 against VCU in Richmond, Va. The team will hold its home opener on Sept. 5 when they take on Utah Valley in the Jayhawk Invite. Tickets are available on the KU Athletics website at kuathletics.com or by phone at 1-800-34-HAWKS.
