@Winner of dual receives 1.5 points, team that places highest in Big 12 Swimming Championships receives 1.5 points

 

  • If a game is rained out or canceled in any way and not rescheduled, the point(s) for that game will be eliminated. If the event is rescheduled, the point(s) will still be awarded to the winner.
  • If two teams tie in any event, the points for that event will be split between the two schools.
  • If schools tie in final total, following tie-breaker will be put in place: The school that was victorious in a majority of head-to-head regular season games will be declared the Border Showdown Champion (Sports Included: Volleyball, Soccer, Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Baseball and Softball - 13 total games eligible).

Post-Season Bonus

  • Winner of each possible post-season head-to-head match-up in the following sports (Women's Soccer, Volleyball, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball Women's Tennis, Softball, Baseball) receives an additional 1/2 point per win.
  • Points are only awarded to the winner of a team head-to-head contest, both teams must qualify for the post-season event, individual qualifiers are not factored in (e.g. Track, Cross Country, etc.)
